A note from Rev Jen regarding Worship and coffee hour…

Most of you are aware that we still  have some technical hurdles to overcome to  live stream worship. We’ve had trouble-shooting conversations and will get some additional input from AV tech people and our cable provider. Until we’re able to determine all of the equipment that is needed to be replaced/installed, we will record the worship service at 10 and hope to send a link of the service by 11:30 or so hoping that it will work and be a good short-term option.

Therefore we will not have Zoom coffee hour for the near future.

We appreciate your patience as we learn on the fly and seek to make worship accessible and the highest quality possible.

Blessings to you all for this ‘unique’ Thanksgiving.
For the worship and ops committees,
Rev Jen

WISDOM WEDNESDAYS

Click here to join us virtually every Wednesday at 7:30pm to discuss the ‘Words of Wisdom’ – (read below)

WEEKLY WORDS OF WISDOM

Please read through Sunday’s Sermon 11-22-20 and meditate on the scriptures:

Ex 10:21-29, Ps 11

21 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven so that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness that can be felt.” 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was dense darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. 23 People could not see one another, and for three days they could not move from where they were; but all the Israelites had light where they lived. 24 Then Pharaoh summoned Moses, and said, “Go, worship the Lord. Only your flocks and your herds shall remain behind. Even your children may go with you.” 25 But Moses said, “You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings to sacrifice to the Lord our God. 26 Our livestock also must go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind, for we must choose some of them for the worship of the Lord our God, and we will not know what to use to worship the Lord until we arrive there.” 27 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was unwilling to let them go. 28 Then Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Take care that you do not see my face again, for on the day you see my face you shall die.” 29 Moses said, “Just as you say! I will never see your face again.”

DEAR SAINTS – Pastor’s Blog

Pray

Dear Saints, Here we are at yet another extremely difficult moment in the country and in our own lives. We all deal with stress and anxiety differently but many of us are nearing a tipping point with all that we are handling, over and above Covid’s past, present and dastardly future. Sometimes sharing our concerns and fears with others is helpful. Sometimes we don’t get the support or listening ear that we need and/or we get even more triggered by other’s comments and responses. As we await both election results and wonder what violence may erupt as a result while ...

Dear Saints, In now, month (7!) of Pandemic life, I want to share an experience with you, in case it’s helpful. It was for me. I had a Dr’s appointment. It wasn’t an appointment for nothing, but I hoped it wasn’t anything. After checking in, I sat down, and waited my turn. In they came. An elderly couple. Either of them could barely walk. He had a cane but could have used a walker. She was ambulating under her own steam but looked like the wind could blow her over. They checked in and sat down, 6-8 feet away. They ...
