Sunday School is open to all ages, during the school year. Kids start in the sanctuary and go to classes after the Children’s message. Nursery care is available throughout the year.

Sunday, February 3rd: Please stay after the service for our annual meeting, and then for refreshments.

THE ANNUAL MEETING of the congregation will be held in the sanctuary immediately following the worship service on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the Annual Reports for 2018, to vote on the 2019 Pastor’s Terms of Call, and to conduct other business appropriate for the meeting.


FPC Bill & Vivian Lowther Scholarship Fund

The First Presbyterian Church of Boonton “FPC” is offering scholarships to students attending an accredited college or professional school in pursuit of a professional certificate, undergraduate education, or a graduate degree.

The criteria for the scholarship are Membership at FPC and demonstrated service to both FPC and the community.  The award for the year 2019 is $500.00.

Please download the proper form and complete by March 1, 2019. Applications should be sent to office@fpcboonton.org, “Attention Scholarship Subcommittee”. Applications may also be left with the church administrator or mailed to the church at PO Box 157, Boonton. No late applications will be accepted.

2019 YOUTH TRIENNIUM – @ Purdue University  July 16-19, 2019. This is a wonderful opportunity for students entering grade 9  through graduating seniors.  The fee is $550 for children under 18 and $575 for 18 yrs and older.  Scholarships are available. NEEDLERS CRAFT SALE is Feb. 10th during coffee hour in the Library, our needlers will be selling hand-made crafts to raise funds to make Quilts of Valor and charity quilts.  Please come support them so they can continue their mission.

JOIN THE CHOIR! You’ll be glad you did!  Rehearsal times are Sundays from 9:15am-9:40am to prepare for service and 11:30am-1pm for learning future music.

Dear Saints, It’s that time again, when I pick out (and pick on) a Christmas-themed commercial that whips me up. This year, there are two, juxtaposed to make a point. The first of my picks is an ad for a cell phone company  where we see back-to-back home videos of individuals in utter delight (screaming, dancing, laughing and crying) as they open a gift of the new cell phone.
